Take a trip back to the groovy decade of 70s clothes.
Early 70s fashion was still vibing from the 1967 summer of love. 70s clothes were all about that laid-back, bohemian aesthetic. Then disco fever grabbed us by the polyester lapels and launched us into glam.
The bohemian look of 70s clothes was full of flowy maxi dresses, peasant blouses, and bell sleeves. Embroidery, paisley, and floral prints were on every piece.
70s jackets and coats were long and belted at the waist. Shearling and sheepskin lammy coats, or leather jackets trimmed with faux fur.
Trousers in the 70s were high-waisted, super cinched, and with wide-leg bell-bottom flares. In blue denim, corduroy, or printed polyester.
70s clothes came in earthy tones of rich browns, mustard yellows, and forest greens. Jumpers were chunky cable knits with turtlenecks right up to your chin. You’d be neck to toe in plush prints, just like your carpeted walls.
70s Disco Fever Fashion
The late 70s went careering into the 80s on roller skates. Disco fever gave us shirts and blouses with pointed collars worn open to the chest. Paired with polyester lounge suits with oversized lapels and glittery, patterned flares.
